The rules for using this site

Who runs this site

Cognitigence Katarzyna Sobczak-Rosochacka, a sole trader registered in Poland, NIP 1182304194, contactable at team@cognitigence.com.

These terms cover the site itself. Work we do for a client is covered by a separate written agreement, and where the two disagree, the agreement wins.

What this site is

A publication. It explains research on how people notice, trust and choose, and what that might mean for marketing decisions.

It is not advice for your situation. Research done in one context does not prove that a change will work in yours; the articles say so where it matters, and so do we. Nothing here creates a client relationship or a promise of a result.

What you need to read it

A browser from the last few years and a connection. The site works without JavaScript for reading; a few conveniences, such as the reading progress bar and the topic navigator, need it.

You agree not to attack the site, scrape it in a way that degrades it for others, or try to reach parts of it that are not published.

Examples, figures and demonstrations

Some pages show made-up examples: a fictional product, a mocked-up post, a sample report. They are labelled where they appear — "Sample", "AI image", "Design preview", or a sentence saying the figures are illustrative.

Where a number describes our own work, it says where it came from and over what period. If you find a figure on this site you cannot check, tell us and we will either show the source or remove it.

Copyright

The text, illustrations, photographs and the design of this site belong to us, except where another author is credited.

You may read it, print it for yourself, and quote it with a link and the author's name. You may not republish whole articles, feed them into a product as if they were yours, or use them commercially without asking. Ask: team@cognitigence.com — the answer is often yes.

Links to other sites

Some links lead elsewhere, including to research, to tools and to our own articles on the previous cognitigence.com site. We do not control those pages and are not responsible for what they say.

The newsletter

Sign-up is not active. When it is, these terms will describe what you are subscribing to, how often it comes and how to leave, and the sign-up will ask for consent before it stores an address.

If something here is wrong

Write to team@cognitigence.com with the address of the page and what is wrong with it. We will confirm we have your message and answer within fourteen days.

If you are a consumer and our answer does not settle it, you can use out-of-court routes: the provincial trade inspection authority (Wojewódzki Inspektorat Inspekcji Handlowej), a municipal or district consumer ombudsman, or the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform. Using them is voluntary for both sides.

Law and changes

Polish law applies, and it does not take away rights that the law of your own country of residence gives you as a consumer.

We may change these terms — for example when the newsletter goes live. The date at the top is the date of the current version, and a change never applies backwards to something you have already done.
